Hi, I'm IzannahThis is the part where I write you a beautifully convincing paragraph and weave the words together so meticulously that it absolutely convinces you that I am the perfect photographer and you’re ready to book!
Unfortunately I feel like I cannot summarize everything about me in this little section as I am still discovering hidden parts of myself everyday.
I guess I can make a list? I love writing, earth and wandering in the forest. I love freedom and dancing and feeling wild and powerful. I also love cuddling up with a good book and lighting a candle and pretending its the 1920s. I love my partner and the future we’re building. I love friends that I can celebrate with! I love self development and learning about the human mind. I love gardening and baking. I love connecting with new people and learning about the lives they live.
None of this information will show you that I know the perfect photo composition or flash photography techniques, but I hope my vulnerability shows that my creative mind and spirit will shine through to document your day. I provide a non judgmental, safe space for clients who want to show up authentically.

To work with me is to choose an experience over a transaction.
As a relaxed and natural wedding photographer, I gently guide you through your day so everything flows with ease—so you can stay present, calm, and fully yourself.
With clear, thoughtful communication, I make sure you feel supported and at home every step of the way.
On a day that can feel overwhelming, I aim to be the thoughtful and positive presence you didn’t know you needed, so you can let go, enjoy the moment, and trust that it’s all being held.
How Do I Provide Consistent, Clear Communication to my Clients?
Yes, anyone can say they’re a good communicator.. but how do I actually achieve this?
I use a Client Management Software so you have access to your own private portal that holds your information, gallery and wedding details (contract & invoices) all in one place. No endless email threads.
I meet with every Client at least 3x prior (online or in person) to the wedding day to ensure everything is running smoothly and to keep in touch with any changes.
I provide my own shot list & wedding timeline to coordinate with yourself & your planner.
I send all clients a personalized questionnaire so I can meet your needs to the best of my abilities.
This gentle guidance allows you to leave the details to me, so you can feel relaxed & enjoy the process!

Photography by Izannah was founded by me as romantic, relaxed wedding photography in Interior British Columbia.
There’s something so special about this place—the open roads, the mountains, the vastness of the never ending woods. I feel incredibly grateful to live and work here as a British Columbia wedding photographer, documenting love in a landscape that feels so free!
Having grown up near Shuswap Lake, this region will always feel like home. After time spent living abroad, coming back felt deeply connecting—returning to the place that raised me, and seeing it again with new eyes. I love the freedom and nature that Canada offers, and I am excited to begin my future here.
